Everyone,
The RHBC is hosting a Mead Barrel Project and is inviting all interested
members to make at least a five gallon batch of mead to blend with other
member contributions to age in a 70 gallon Cabernet wine barrel.
The recipe and yeast will be determined once all 75 gallons (at least an
extra five is needed for the Angel’s Share) have been committed.
…. Cost
The cost of a five gallon batch to contribute is approximately $50 (at $2.85
per pound of honey) – which is a /steal/! Again, it is requested that members
commit to make at least five gallons to make dividing up of the aged mead
easier.
