Bringing staves

I will be bringing a large amount of staves from a Jim Beam whiskey Barrel to the December meeting. They will be cut in half, which allows a whole stave to be placed in a corny keg, or you can use just half a stave as we often do at our home. They are easy to use, as all you need to do is bake them above 200 degrees for a while ( I like two hours ). I usually wrap them in foil as well to make transport to the vessel I am utilizing them in as sanitary as possible. You can cubel them too, which makes a nice addition in a carboy or any style fermentor you may have. Soaking them in your favortie liquor works well too. They can also help in clarifying your beer, as large particles are attracted to the wood-have fun with that if you want.
