Michael Bade’s Pilsner Recipe in Zymurgy

Zymurgy published my “Goes to Eleven” Pilsner recipe in the latest issue. (p. 58 Vol. 31 No. 4)  It’s exciting to get this kind of recognition.

Unfortunately, the recipe they published is wrong. The published recipe says I used 22 lbs of Munich malt.  I used 22 lbs of Rahr German Pilsner malt.  The correct recipe is on the Rockhoppers website, under “brewblogs” – here’s the link. There are several versions of “Goes to Eleven” Pilsner.  The version that won Best of Show at the Dredhop was brewed January 5, 2008.

Volunteers needed for GABF 2008

Hoppers,

I volunteered for GABF 2007 and had a great time. I highly recomend it whether your pouring beer, selling merchandise or setting up. It is a great way to get involved in the GABF rather than just drinking all those awesome brews.

PERSONALLY I sign up for the Saturday morning setup 8-12 and 1st session pour 12-4pm. You DO get to taste a good amount anyway and it’s not as rowdy as the 2nd session on Saturdays.

This year the amount of sessions worked in exchange for free tickets has increased 🙁   Oh well

Hope to see a good RHBC presence this year!
