——– BIG BREW – WHO’S BREWING? ——————————————-
So Kelly and Jason can plan space, please sign up and designate if you will
be bringing your equipment and brewing [1] something other than the
collective Frankenbier brew. Kelly and Jason will be brewing the SS Minnow
Mild recipe [2] published by the AHA, originally brewed by Dry Dock in
Aurora. Bring your equipment and brew!
——– BIG BREW GRAIN ——————————————————
Jim from the Rockyard has graciously agreed to provide base grain for any
brewers to use on Big Brew at our event. As such, we need to know how much to
procure, so if you’d like to have some for your brew at Big Brew, sign up by
April 24th [3]. Remember, if you don’t sign up for grain, you won’t get any,
so be quick!
10 pounds per person is the default for a sign up, if you need less or more,
indicate so in a comment. Jason and Kelly will pick up the grain next week
prior to the Big Brew and it will be waiting at our house.
——– BIG BREW DINNER —————————————————–
Kelly and Jason have also offered to provide a Saison-themed dinner for all
who sign up to attend. This is an awesome offering and it needs much planning
to pull off. Signups are open [4].
As of this writing, we have do not have anyone signed up. If there are not at
least /six/ people signed up, by April 30, the dinner will be canceled (it’s
simply too much work if there is a lack of attendance).
——– BIG BREW FRANKENBIER ————————————————
We need an anticipated head count, so please post a comment here [5] to
indicate that you’ll be bringing something for the Frankenbier the club is
brewing for Big Brew. This will let us plan and coordinate our ingredients.
——– NEW BELGIUM DISCUSSION ———————————————-
Sign up for the discussion with New Belgium brewmaster Peter Bouckaert [6],
taking place May 15, so we can plan hotels, etc. We really need a strong Rock
Hopper showing for this event, and Peter is giving this talk at the request
of the Rock Hoppers. What an amazing opportunity!
Cheers,
