Pro Am With Rocky Mountain Brewery

Got an email today saying Rocky Mountain Brewery won’t be at GABF this year, so they won’t be doing the Pro Am.  Needless to say, there are a lot of things I want to post here right now but will refrain.  I will, however, post their email in the comments as their reasoning…

Hopper Billy Beeson Wins BOS at Gnarly Barley!

Gnarly BarleyThe Gnarly Barley homebrew competition was held on July 29, 2012 and the awards were given at the festival on August 4. 

Congrats go out to our own Billy “Billy Fly” Beeson for winning the Best of Show with his Irish Red!

Billy also cleaned up with eight (!) medals:

  • SHV – 3rd place
  • Belgian Specialty – 3rd Place
  • Barleywine – 3rd Place
  • Irish Beer – 1st Place
  • Amber Hybrid – 3rd Place
  • Bock – 1st Place
  • Porter – 3rd Place
  • English Brown – 2nd Place

Arapahoe County Fair

Hi All, I just spoke with the lady in charge of the arapahoe county fair competition and they need judges, badly. She didn’t know it was the same day as judging for Gnarly Barley so now they are scrambling for judges. If you can, contact her TODAY at elliejr@earthlink.net. Judging is this Sunday at 9am.
