Seems about half of our club will be camping this weekend in Salida so here
goes a mass e-mail! Please respond to Ned and Justin (nedbrush@gmail.com [1]
and cryptidjw@gmail.com [2]) regarding the beer you will be bringing. See
e-mail below. See you guys there!!! Gregorio

All Salida attendees,

Cryptid and I are organizing the People’s Choice competition as well as
homebrew serving in general.  This email serves two purposes: 1) find out
who is bringing what and 2) shed some light on the competition details.
Since we are going to have abounding attendance this year, we would like to
get an estimate of available quantity and serving logistics.  This will also
help people determine how much “supplemental” beer to bring.

Who is bringing what?
—————————————
Please reply to me and/or Justin (not the whole group!) if:

1) you are bringing a jockey box.  Please let us know how many taps you’ll
be bringing.
2) you have any spare coolers to donate to the cause.  Based on how much
beer people bring, we are going to need ice to keep it cold.  Michele has
the funds to pay for ice, but we need donated coolers to keep the ice cold.
3) BEER!  If you are bringing homebrew that you intend to serve at the
competition and/or for general consumption please let us know the following
information.  Please let us know by *Thursday at noon.*

* What vessel will it be in (bottle or keg)?
* Will the beer arrive cold?
* Do you have the means to keep your beer cold and to serve your beer?
* *Important Note for kegs: *If you are bringing a keg, please arrange a
way to serve your own beer.  DO NOT rely on the club jockey boxes for
your serving!!!  Please bring a bucket (or something that can contain
keg & ice), picnic tap, and CO2 since we are not going to have enough
jockey box taps to serve all of the beer simultaneously.  If you do
not have a way to serve your beer and keep it cold, contact us ASAP and
let us know.  The club will provide ice, but you need a bucket and
CO2.
* *Important Note for bottles: *If you are bringing bottles, you must
bring coolers to keep it cool.  There will not be extra communal
cooler space for any bottled beer.

* What is the beer style?  (Include any special ingredients, etc.)
* What is the beer name?
* What is your estimate of volume you will be bringing?

Again, let us know if you’re bringing jockey boxes, coolers, and/or beer no
later than *Thursday (7/12) at noon.*

BBoPP Salida People’s Choice
—————————————
First and foremost, this is a friendly competition intended to be joyous all
around.  The (tentative) plan is as follows:

* We would like to have beers available to serve for the competition
starting around 5PM.
* We will try to wrap up voting by 9PM.  We will announce winners ’round
that time.
* All beers will be labeled by brewer, style, beer name, and any special
ingredients.
* Friendly competition is encouraged (bribery, kick-backs, etc.).

Cheers!
Ned (and Justin)
