Donated Bottled beer needed

Hoppers,

As many of you know I have been working on opening my own brew on premise shop for some time now. And just like last time I want to ask for any homebrewed samples that you can spare for an upcoming investors meeting.

My partners and I are planning a presentaton for approx 12 investors here in the very near future. I will be adding several of my own creations, but like my partners say “how about somthing with a little less kick?” as most of my brews a 9% ABV and up. Their hoping for something like Pales, IPA’s, Porters, Belgians, etc.

The last presentation went really well and the samples were very well liked. Most of these people have never actually tried home made beer, but heard it’s more like near beer and not great…But at the event they soon realized the oposite to be true. Several couldn’t believe it was made in our homes and not at a commercial brewery.

This time around we decided to make a donation to the club for the samples…We’re willing to pay but homebrew can’t be sold as most of you know.

Thank you for your help and with a little luck this thing could happen. If and when it does I definately plan to involve the club.

Thanks again,

Kjell

Growing Hops

I’m wanting to plant some rhizomes this year. Has anyone planted in the past? Do you have any tips that might be helpful to me? Is there any chance of getting some noble hops to grow here? Any feedback could earn you a share of the harvest (if there is any in the 1st year ;).

Per the disagreement between Geoff, Izzy, and Justin at last nights meeting….

Justin Martz was correct on his definition of the disagreement subject matter. It’s obvious now to me now that Justin has his discusting facts down pat.

Sorry Geoff and Izzy, I was not able to find the term for your suggested answer.

If you were wondering where I found the answers, they were discovered at http://www.urbandictionary.com

Time to get political – HB1192

I try to stay out of politics, messy business, but I thought this would be something the club should know.

There is a proposal to allow grocery stores (which would include Walmart, Target, etc) to carry full strength beer. HB 1192. It would appear that this idea is widely regarded in the craft brewing community as something that should be kept out of Colorado. www.savecoloradocraftbeer.com for more information on the bill. If you agree this bill is a bad idea there is a rally at the State Capitol in Denver on Wednesday, February 11th, at 1:30, in the Old Supreme Court Chambers where the opponents to the bill are trying to obtain as much representation from Colorado beer supporters as possibile.

Additionally, they are encouraging you to e-mail the committee and your senate and house representatives. Below are the e-mails for the committee and the senators/reps for Douglas County. Copy and paste them into an e-mail and say no to this bill. By the way – if anyone thinks this is a good idea, I would be most welcome to a counter argument.

Whoops

I managed to walk of the meeting tonight without the4 Rock Hopper glasses I bought. They were wrapped in newspaper and in a plastic bag in case anyone happened to be a little more observant than me.

Thanks,

Chris
