(Remember to allow for holiday shipping issues.)I’m also looking for some brave, bold, fun souls to judge for this amazing, AHA sanctioned BJCP competition. BJCP Study Group

Hi All,

Larry, Geoff and I have been talking about staring another BJCP study class. For those who don’t know this is a detailed, structured 10 week effort. We meet once a week to learn about and taste a different group of beer styles. I think I can also speak for Larry and Walt and say that this course completely changed the way we thought about and analyzed beer – BIG recalibration!

I think starting at the first of the year would be good? I will also be trying to set up an exam for next summer but even if you don’t want to take the test this is still a great course to take.

Let me know if you’re interested in attending. We will probably need to limit the size of the class to about 6. Walt, I assume you want in again?

Cheers!

Gregorio

2008-2009 Competition Strategy: FOTR ’08

This is the first in a series of posts that will help RHBC organize our members when entering competitions.

In an effort to gain as much representation as possible a given contest by our club, in this case, the Foam on the Range annual, members should click the link in the first comment below and add their name to the list of entrants in the appropriate category.

If you are entering a brew into BJCP Categories 20-23, make sure you indicate what your beer is and what its base style is (if applicable).

The goal is to have at least one Rock Hopper entry into each applicable BJCP category of a contest.

When entering any contest, be sure to list Rock Hoppers Brew Club on the Club/Organization line!
