Brabant release 2/18

Avery Brewing Company is kicking off our new Barrel-Aged Series with a one night release of Brabant, our brand new Barrel-Aged Wild Ale, on **Wednesday, February 18th from 5-8 PM. Due to EXTREMELY limited quantities of this beer, we’ll be selling it for ONE NIGHT ONLY (2/18) from the AVERY TAP ROOM, and in select stores and states soon after. Most stores are likely to get only a case or two, so the only way to GUARANTEE you get this beer is to show up at the Pre-Release Party at the Avery Tap Room on 2/18. Bring a friend, as we’ll be selling a max of 6 bottles to each person.

Those who attend will also have the opportunity to taste two other, brand new, blended barrel-aged brews from our cellar(Think Vogelbekdieren…but better!)

Head Brewer Wanted/Backcountry Brewery- Brewery Job Openings Emailer from The Siebel Institute

Last call for applicants!

The Backcountry Brewery in Frisco, Colorado is looking for a Head Brewer.  Our first post was right before the holidays when many brewers were either very busy or absent.

If you would like to live and work in a picturesque mountain town and make great beer, please consider the following.  Backcountry is a well established brewpub with a proud brewing tradition and multiple GABF medals.  We are focused on quality and consistency.  We have a 15 bbl NSI brewhouse with 4 unitanks and 7 serving tanks.  Most of our brews are filtered using a 4 meter Spadoni horizontal leaf filter.  We have a modest distribution program with party pigs, kegs and bombers.

We are looking for a mature and experienced brewer who wants to settle in the mountains (elevation 9,100 ft) and make an honest living producing quality ales and lagers.  Candidates must already have multiple years of experience in all facets of brewing, packaging, and filtration.  Training will be limited.  If you are interested in starting a dialogue, please contact me at the email listed below.  Please include your salary requirements and relevant work experience.  References will be requested at a later date.

Cheers,

Anthony S. Carestia

Club Only Competition March/April 2012

Ok, so it’s a long way off, but the Hoppers are officially on the AHA Calendar for hosting the AHA Club Only competition in March/April 2012. Our category will be category 13 – Stout. This includes the Dry Stout, Sweet Stout, Foreign Extra Stout, Oatmeal Stout, American Stout, and Russian Imperial Stout. There will be a lot of work to do as we near 2012, but I wanted to be the first to share this good news with the club.
