The 20th Annual Colorado Brewers’ Festival

Great beer, food, music and fun. This year’s festival, the 20th Annual Colorado Brewers’ Festival in Downtown Fort Collins will take place June 27 & 28, 2009. Over 50 Colorado beers and 400 kegs will be enjoyed along with great live music Saturday and Sunday in Historic Downtown! (The festival hours will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.)

All beer samplers must be 21 years of age, and purchase an entry and tokens at the entry station located on Mountain Ave, the day of the festival. Admission is $10 for a 2-day Saturday/Sunday Pass & $6 Sunday Only Pass. All beer tokens are $2; you need beer tokens to get your beer samples. Designated Driver Program available for non-beer samplers with valid driver’s license.
The Colorado Brewers’ Fest is made up solely of Colorado Breweries, including host breweries from Fort Collins: Anheuser-Busch, Big Horn Brewery/CB & Potts, Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing, New Belgium Brewing Co., Fort Collins Brewery, and Odell’s Brewing

Join us for our largest party of the year! Spend the day sampling mugs of beer from a variety of Summit County brewpubs for one low price per 14 oz mug (must be 21). Breweries include Pug Ryan’s, Breckenridge, Dillon Dam, Backcountry and Rock Wolf. Expect great live music, springtime skiing and much more!

Denver is home to That Eighties Band, one of the hottest and most unique 80’s tribute bands in America. Consisting of some of Colorado’s most well known musicians, they will dazzle you with their powerful sound and stage show. That Eighties Band plays all the great music that the decade has to offer. The end result is a show that any eighties fan is sure to love.

Blues, Brews & BBQ at Beaver Creek

Escape to Beaver Creek this Memorial Day weekend for great eats and musical treats at the annual Blues, Brews & BBQ festival. This fitting start to summer (and BBQ season) in the mountains features daily kids activities, cooking demonstrations, and three free Blues concerts featuring Big Daddy Lee & the King Bee’s, Otis Taylor and Mavis Staples!

Barbecue favorites will be prepared by top BBQ chefs from Kansas City, Des Moines, Iowa, Colorado and other locations nationwide. Amuse Bouche: Deconstructed chips and salsa
A beer battered avocado slice, served with smoked cherry tomatoes, fried shallots and corn puree along side of a black bean foam.
Pairing: White Rascal

First course: Sampler Plate Trio
Poppers served with a mango dipping sauce accompanied by 14’er ESB. Fiddle head ferns sautéed in a “beer blanc” sauce toped with crispy celeriac chips accompanied by Red Point Ale. Pretzel encrusted cheese curds served with a beer honey mustard sauce accompanied Out of Bounds Stout.

Second Course: Beer Braised Beet Salad
Fresh spring greens tossed in a spring herb citronette, topped with beer braised beets, shaved grapes, fava beans and cheddar and gorgonzola cheese crisps.
Pairing: Karma Pale Ale

Third Course: Fried “Chicken” and Watermelon
Chicken fried Seitan atop a fresh watermelon disc, served with mozzarella cheese, an asparagus, mint, and pea salad with a pea and tarragon emulsion.
Pairing: Hog Heaven

Fourth Course: Dessert
A bruleed poached pear atop a fluffy ginger ale beignet, served with an Ellie’s Brown Ice Cream and a raspberry chocolate sauce.
