The 18th annual Eight Seconds of Froth Competition was held on May 19 with over 400 entries.
On the whole, the Hoppers kicked ass, but lost out on a threepeat of winning the Ace of Clubs designation.
On the bright side, our own Brian Pramov won another pro-am with his B-Rye American Amber, this time with the Altitude Chophouse and Brewery in Laramie. Now, he has to choose where to brew his recipe. Decisions, decisions…
Other Hopper winners were:
Michael Bade
- 1st in Pilsner with Goes to Eleven (German Pilsner)
- 2nd in Dark Lager with Eclipse (Schwarzbier)
- 1st in Bock with Shock Bock (Maibock/Helles Bock)
- 3rd in India Pale Ale (IPA) with Simcolicious (American IPA)
Greg Geiger
- 1st in Stout with Chase’s Grit (Imperial Stout)
- 2nd in Spice/Herb/Vegetable Beer with Chocolate Thunder (Spiced Beer)
- 2nd in Smoke-Flavored & Wood-Aged Beer with Stalin’s Skidmarks (RHBC Barrel Project Imperial Stout)
